Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts submitted to JIEBR must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration in other journals.
  • The manuscript must align with the journal’s focus and scope, covering topics related to Islamic entrepreneurship, Islamic business, halal industry, Islamic finance, and sustainable business practices in an Islamic context.
  • The submission must follow ethical publishing standards and avoid plagiarism or research misconduct.

2. Manuscript Structure

Authors should structure their manuscript as follows:

Title

  • Concise, informative, and clearly representing the manuscript's content.
  • Maximum 15 words, written in title case (capitalize major words).

Abstract

  • Written in English, between 150-250 words.
  • Must include research background, objective, method, findings, and contributions/implications.
  • Followed by 3-5 keywords separated by semicolons.

Introduction

  • Explain the research background, problem statement, and research gap.
  • Provide a review of relevant literature and highlight the originality of the study.
  • Clearly state the research objectives.

Literature Review (if applicable)

  • Discuss the theoretical framework relevant to the study.
  • Cite previous research to support hypotheses or conceptual models.

Methodology

  • Describe the research design, data collection techniques, population and sample, research instruments, and data analysis methods.
  • Quantitative research should include hypothesis development and statistical analysis.
  • Qualitative research should explain data collection techniques, coding processes, and validation methods.

Results and Discussion

  • Present findings clearly using tables, charts, or figures when necessary.
  • Provide a discussion that compares findings with previous research and relevant theories.
  • Highlight the implications and contributions to Islamic entrepreneurship and business research.

Conclusion

  • Summarize key findings concisely.
  • Provide recommendations for future research.
  • Avoid repeating the discussion section.

References

  • Use the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition citation style.
  • Ensure at least 80% of references are from reputable journal articles published in the last five years.
  • It is highly recommended to use a reference manager such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.

3. Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Use Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing.
  • Page margins: Top 3 cm, Bottom 3 cm, Left 3 cm, Right 3 cm.
  • Use italic for non-English words and bold for headings.

4. Submission and Review Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s online submission system.
  • The review process follows a double-blind peer review policy.
  • Authors will receive feedback within 4-6 weeks, and revisions may be required.
  • Accepted manuscripts will go through copyediting and layout editing before publication.

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must follow ethical research and publication practices.
  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
  • If using human subjects, authors must provide evidence of ethical clearance.

6. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright but grant the journal a license to publish under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-SA).
  • This allows others to share, remix, and build upon the work as long as proper credit is given.
