The Journal of Islamic Entrepreneurship and Business Research (JIEBR) relies on the expertise and constructive feedback of reviewers to ensure the quality and integrity of published research. As a reviewer, your role is crucial in maintaining high academic standards.


1. Qualifications for Reviewers

Reviewers should meet the following criteria:
✅ Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
✅ Have expertise in Islamic entrepreneurship, business research, or related disciplines.
✅ Have experience as a reviewer for academic journals.
✅ Have published articles in internationally reputable journals and received citations.


2. Key Aspects to Evaluate

When reviewing a manuscript, please assess the following:

A. Presentation

- Does the manuscript present a cohesive argument?
- Are the ideas clearly expressed and logically structured?

B. Writing Quality

- Does the title accurately reflect the content?
- Is the writing concise, clear, and easy to follow?

C. Length & Content

- Are there sections that should be elaborated, removed, shortened, or merged?

D. Title & Abstract

- Does the title effectively summarize the study?
- Does the abstract contain background, objective, method, findings, and contributions?


3. Section-by-Section Review

A. Introduction

- Does it provide a clear background and identify a research gap?
- Is the literature review relevant and well-structured?
- Does it highlight the originality of the study?
- Are the objectives of the study clearly stated?

B. Methodology

- Are the research design, data collection, and analysis methods clearly explained?
- Are the study variables, research subjects, and instruments (e.g., reliability coefficients) well-identified?
- Are the data analysis techniques appropriate and well-justified?

C. Results

- Are the findings clearly presented in tables or figures?
- Do the results effectively answer the research question(s)?
- Is the data well-processed and not raw?

D. Discussion

- Does the discussion compare results with existing literature?
- Are the implications of the study well-explained?
- Does the author acknowledge limitations of the research?

E. Conclusion

- Are the conclusions based on the results and discussion?
- Do they highlight the key contributions to Islamic entrepreneurship and business research?


4. Ethical Considerations

As a reviewer, you must ensure that the manuscript adheres to ethical research principles:
✅ No plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification of data.
✅ Proper citation and acknowledgment of previous works.
✅ No conflict of interest in reviewing the manuscript.

If you suspect research misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, duplicate submission, ethical violations), report it to the editorial team immediately.


5. Reviewer Recommendations

After evaluation, please provide one of the following recommendations:
