Archiving Policy

Multidisciplinary Journal of Contemporary Islamic Discourse (MJCID) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and usability of all published scholarly content. To safeguard the integrity of the academic record and guarantee continued access to research outputs, the journal implements a comprehensive digital archiving and preservation strategy.

  • All published articles are permanently stored and maintained on the journal’s official website and electronic journal management system to ensure stable and continuous access.
  • The journal participates in distributed archiving systems such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS, which provide decentralized preservation across multiple libraries and institutions worldwide to prevent data loss.
  • MJCID content is archived in Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, to enhance national-level preservation and visibility.
  • Metadata and, where applicable, full-text content may also be preserved and made discoverable through platforms such as the Internet Archive and the PKP PN (Public Knowledge Project Private LOCKSS Network), ensuring additional redundancy and secure backup systems.
  • Authors are encouraged to self-archive the published version of their articles (publisher’s version or final PDF) in institutional repositories, personal academic webpages, or other recognized scholarly platforms, provided that full bibliographic details and a direct link to the original publication in MJCID are clearly indicated.

Through these archiving mechanisms, Multidisciplinary Journal of Contemporary Islamic Discourse (MJCID) ensures that its published content remains permanently accessible, citable, and preserved for future generations of researchers, scholars, and students, in accordance with international standards of digital preservation and open-access publishing.
