Copyright and Licensing

Copyright Policy
Authors who publish with Multidisciplinary Journal of Contemporary Islamic Discourse (MJCID) retain the copyright of their work. By submitting and subsequently publishing in this journal, authors grant MJCID a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and make the article publicly available in electronic and print formats. This non-exclusive publishing right allows authors to reuse, distribute, and reproduce their work elsewhere, provided that proper acknowledgment is given to the original publication in MJCID.

The journal supports open-access dissemination of scholarly research and ensures that all published content remains freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or paywall barriers.

Licensing
All articles published in Multidisciplinary Journal of Contemporary Islamic Discourse (MJCID) are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, users are permitted to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

These freedoms are granted provided that the following condition is met:

  • Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given to the author(s) and the journal, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made must be clearly indicated. Attribution must not suggest that the licensor endorses the user or the use of the work.

Author’s Warranties
By submitting a manuscript to Multidisciplinary Journal of Contemporary Islamic Discourse (MJCID), authors confirm and warrant that:

  • The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration elsewhere.
  • All listed co-authors have made significant scholarly contributions and have approved the final version of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript does not infringe upon any copyright, intellectual property rights, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
  • Any third-party materials (figures, tables, images, or extended quotations) have been properly credited and, where necessary, permission has been obtained.

Use by Third Parties
Any use of the published material beyond the scope of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License or applicable statutory exceptions requires direct permission from the author(s). The journal does not hold exclusive rights and therefore cannot grant permissions beyond those covered by the CC BY 4.0 license.

This policy ensures the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research while preserving authors’ rights and maintaining compliance with international open-access publishing standards.
